The role:Cater Care Services seeks to appoint an experienced Gardener with horticultural qualifications to join our team in Cloncurry. Your chief responsibility in this role will be to maintain the beautiful established gardens and grounds at our Ernest Henry Mining Village. This is a permanent full time role on an 8 day on 6 day off roster, fly in fly out from Cairns.What this role involves: The beautification and maintenance of the village gardens and groundsMaintenance tasks including pruning & hedging an assortment of plantsMulching, fertilizing, irrigation, pest & disease identification/controlLawn maintenance What we require from you: Must hold a manual drivers licenceHospitality experience, particularly within kitchen and housekeeping operationsSimilar experience within a remote environment is preferredAbility to work well with other team membersA commitment to genuine, friendly customer serviceA motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitudeAdherence to first-class food & general safety practicesAbility to understand and comply with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentPhysically fit and able to work long hours with repetitive tasksPride in personal appearance & hygieneAbility to work in varying degrees of heat, cold, humidity & inclement weather
