The Government Account Manager, is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the SA Government Departments and shape their existing and future communications. The role sits within Enterprise and Government and reports to the State Manager.You will build and manage a substantial pipelines, applying appropriate strategies and your understanding of Vocus products and services to ensure you exceed your quarterly sales targets. There may be requirement to travel interstate from time to time The role is based in Adelaide.If this role sounds like you please read on… What’s the day to day? Work closely with SA Government Departments and the lead Agencies to determine their existing and future communications needs Develop relationships with core agencies securing their long-term business with Vocus Play an influential and advisory role into the customers business, often engaging at the C-Suite level Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and work with the Customer Service team to deal with complaints Successful on board on new customers, including negotiating complex contracts and agreements Understand the customer’s objectives, buying criteria and decision-making process and form long term business partnerships Leverage industry and product knowledge to share insights about how the customer can maximise and drive business benefits Management of the end to end sales process from opportunity identification to close using Vocus’ sales methodology Conduct comprehensive account review at least quarterly with customers and product knowledge to share insights about how the customer can maximise and drive business benefits Partner with the Principle Solution consultant on complex, sometimes bespoke solution development that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary internal stakeholders and delivery partners. What you will need to be successful: At least 5-6 years proven experience working with Government accounts, preferably with a new Business Development focus A strong network of relationships in the SA Governments Product and industry knowledge coupled with the ability to deal with clients at an executive level and translate client needs into a complete solution Experience in ICT sales and providing solutions based on customer needs would be highly desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills and experience building strong long-lasting relationships within Government entities Security clearance or be capable of security clearance by AGSVA Professional communications skills and have the ability to play an influential and advisory role into the customers business, often engaging at the C-Suite level.
