Reporting to the Chief People Officer this role has evolved over time and is an opportunity for an eperinced HR professional to join the organisation.Overview of the role The purpose of this position is to manage key operational aspects of the employee experience and support implementation of the Workforce Plan to achieve the organisation’s strategic goals. The responsibilities of the role Lead, develop and manage the performance of a small team of Human Resources (HR) professionals, Develop, maintain and lead implementation of HR policies, procedures and systems to ensure best practice and compliance with applicable legislation, regulatory frameworks, industrial instruments and contracts Work collaboratively across the organisation and as a member of the Senior Management Team to support managers, teams and the business with workforce requirements and building capacity to achieve goals Provide hands-on HR expertise, advice and support as HR Business Partner to assigned team/s, while supporting HR Officers in partnering with their assigned teams and developing people managers across the organisation Manage and/or support the rollout of HR projects as relevant, including the new HRIS and ongoing development and execution of the Workforce Plan Contribute to HR budget and reporting processes and support and relieve the Chief People Officer as required, including during periods of absence, reporting directly to the CEO Key to your success in this role are Effective leadership, mentoring and management of direct reports evidenced by regular one on one and team meetings and timely probationary and annual performance appraisals Maintenance and implementation of a full suite of contemporary HR policies and procedures across the organisation Effective management and continuous improvement of recruitment, onboarding, staff movement and offboarding processes Provision of timely professional advice and support to managers and employees across all functions of the employee lifecycle Delivery of organisation-wide induction, mandatory training and professional development to meet legislative obligations, business plans and strategic goals Effective and timely management and resolution of workplace investigations, grievances and complaints Effective application and management of performance review and performance management processes across the organisation Effective and timely management of the annual remuneration review and paypoint progression processes Effective development and management of compliant HR records, systems and internal processes, including a new HRIS Essential Criteria Minimum of a Bachelor degree qualification in Human Resources Demonstrated current knowledge and experience in the application of contemporary HR (including WH&S) best practice, including the ability to interpret and ensure organisational compliance with legislation, regulatory frameworks, awards, agreements, and policy Minimum five years’ senior-level experience in a generalist HR role, with demonstrated effectiveness in HR consultancy and operations across the employee lifecycle, including advanced skills in leading workplace investigations and managing complex employee relations issues Highly effective interpersonal communication skills with proven client focus and demonstrated ability to build relationships, credibility and influence, working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders Excellent written communication and presentation skills demonstrating strong attention to detail, Microsoft Office suite proficiency, analytical and problem-solving skills Well-developed organisation and administrative skills, with proven ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively across multiple projects concurrently Highly-desirable HR Practitioner Certification (CPHR) HR professional experience in the Not for Profit / For Purpose – ideally Disability and/or Education sectors Management experience, ideally as a HR team leader HRIS implementation experience To apply Please hit the Apply Now option and attach your resume along with a covering letter in word format or for more information please contact Catherine Lyttle on 0400 585 530.
