About the Team The Events Experience team is responsible for working across the organisation to ensure CPA Australia’s events are planned and delivered in a manner that responds to member needs and provide maximum value to members by scheduling activity in a relevant, accessible and complementary manner. CPA Australia delivers thousands of events annually around the world including certificate presentation ceremonies, structured educational sessions, conferences, networking events, discussion groups and webinars. CPA Australia offers all event types both face-to-face and online/virtually. About the Role Reporting to the Team Leader – Events, the Event Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day co-ordination of event activities to deliver outstanding member events. This role will see you delivering on the National events calendar in line with member and organisational expectations, ensuring smooth delivery of all CPA Australia events including but not limited to divisional events, Conferences, Learning and Development Training events, Departmental events and ad hoc events as required. Collaboration with internal stakeholders is key to this role, for the logistical and operational delivery of events in line with member expectations and the events strategy. Key areas of responsibility include: Working closely with the Team Leader – Events to establish and manage event budgets Accurate set-up and maintenance of events in event systems Presenter liaison and coordination – organizing all required flights, accommodation, ground transfers, AV, room setup and other specific presenter requirements Accurate preparation of post event documentation including evaluation reporting Event Facilitation – manage all tasks pre, during and post events including but not limited to arranging room set up, managing attendee sign in sheets, workshop manuals, facilities management Stakeholder relationship management – establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all key stakeholder groups Virtual event management – setting up and running webinars, including presenter management; involvement in key virtual conferences throughout the year, working closely with team members from across the national events team About you: As the successful candidate, you will bring the following attributes/experience to the role: Knowledge of marketing/event management/CRM and a relevant Business or Event Management qualification is preferred Experience in executing events for members/customers Ability to implement and analyse financial control processes and procedures including cost management and purchase order processing along with a good understanding of financial modelling and business planning Project and time management skills Strong relationship management skills both internally and externally, with the ability to negotiate and influence A team player with the ability to work with team members both remotely and on-site Strong IT skills – Events Management Software, Microsoft XP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Financial Processing Software This role will require a flexible approach and availability to work extended hours during peak periods to satisfy the requirements of event participants and presenters.
