The RoleWe will be creating a merit pool from this recruitment round to fill a number of roles within the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group. We are seeking people with demonstrated high level administrative knowledge and experience that can perform and achieve complex procedural, operational and business support work within an integrated workforce. Further skills and experience in the areas of risk management, governance and contract management are highly desirable but not essential.See outline of responsibilities below:Administration Team Leaders will work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work. They will exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures. They will provide detailed administrative professional and policy advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management.They are accountable to lead a team, set work priorities and manage workflows and resources. They will build team capacity through coaching and feedback and will review and develop the quality of work undertaken by others within a work unit. They will exercise the associated people and financial responsibilities to achieve work unit outcomes.Administration Team Leaders will have high level stakeholder engagement and will liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex issues. They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.About our TeamThe Corporate Performance Function manages and provides a wide range of corporate services to support CASG Domains in meeting their service and compliance obligations to Capability Managers, Department of Defence and the Whole of Government. They will be capable of working in a small team with a wide variety of customers and stakeholders across varying levels of the organisation.The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of flexibility and the ability to respond to changing priorities and challenges and have experience in establishing procedures and processes.Demonstrated skills in establishing work priorities, motivation of team members and delivering clear and consistent advice to stakeholders are also core attributes needed for this position.Further skills and experience in the areas of risk management, governance and contract management are highly desirable but not essential.The candidate will be expected to undertake ongoing upskilling, training and development to further develop themselves and their career.
