Job Description

We are looking for a part time, experienced and proactive Lifestyle Assistant to play a vital role in supporting our Lifestyle Coordinator at our Strathaven and Strathglen residential facilities in the planning and delivery of appropriate and varied lifestyle programs to enhance and support the individual needs of our residents.Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with residents, their relatives and friends. Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise. You will be responsible for: Participating in the development and delivery of lifestyle programs to our residents, ensuring residents are able to participate and enjoy the programs.Assist with assessments, review and the ongoing evaluation of residents cultural, recreational and leisure needs and lifestyle interests. About you:You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, to support them to live life to their full potential.This is the place for you if you have: Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or currently undertaking studies towards same (essential)Eexperience and knowledge in residential aged care with a commitment to high standards of care for residents and their familiesAbility to play a musical instrument, or a musical background (desirable) Ability to drive a 12 seater bus (desriable)Are known for your caring and compassionate nature Experience as a Personal Care Worker in Aged Care (highly regarded)Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactionsCommitted to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)Are willing to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church You will need: A current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (TAS)A current Australian drivers license Full Australian working rightsA current Police Records Check or be willing to undertake this processA current flu vaccination and be prepared to meet this annual requirement About Us:At Uniting AgeWell we promote and support our people to be their BEST and give their BEST so they can help our communities to live well with choice and peace of mind.
