Due to some internal changes, the organisation is now seeking a Head of Merchandising to join their ELT team.About the roleReporting to the CEO and as part of the Executive Leadership Team, you will manage the supplier network and relationships to uplift the capability of the merch function including pricing, margin, quality, product range and robust trading terms. The role will also be responsible for a small teamAs part of the role you will be responsible for:Building category plans across a range of products including food, beverages, personal care et alOversee all supplier / trading engagements and fostering strong relationships with suppliersBeing part of the wider executive leadership and contributing to the strategic plan of the wider businessLeading and developing the team to deliver and exceed on their KPIsDriving commercial and operational improvement across the merch function including rebates, promotions, trading terms, marketingExperience & SkillsTo ensure your success in this role, you must present with:Senior buying experience gained from grocery across wide range of products / merchandise – food (fresh / pantry / frozen) beverages, personal careIdeally experience gained from a large retailerMust have experience leading a small teamA highly commercial and strategic leader who has proven experience in driving top and bottom line growthOutstanding communication skillsThis is your opportunity to join an organisation with an exceptional culture and proven track history.
