The roleWe currently have an opportunity for a Laboratory Technician tojoin our NATA accredited team. This is a unique chance for you toexpand your sampling and testing skills and gain practical hands onexperience in state of the art laboratories. Working across ourSouth Australia laboratories, as well as in the field, thisposition will see you gain exposure to the compliance testing ofconcrete and other construction materials. Your primary duties willinclude a broad range of field sampling, sample preparation,testing, equipment calibration and computer based analysis. This position requires a Monday to Friday roster with some outof hours and weekend work Responsibilities Sample and test construction materials in the lab and in the field Analyses and report accurate results Adhere to procedures and work systems Perform equipment calibration and basic maintenance Provide recommendations for improvement What you will need to succeed Essential Australian driver license A commitment to safety, quality and the environment Good interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical thinking skills Ability to self-motivate and take initiative Advantageous but not essential Experience in a similar sampling and testing role Certificate III in Laboratory Skills or Cert IV in Laboratory Techniques Forklift licence Construction Industry White Card Creating and supporting a diverse workforce Southern Quarries recognises that diversity in our workforcedrives innovation, encourages creativity and better equips us torespond to the challenges facing our industry.
