Classification: ANU Officer 5 (Administration) Salary package:  $71,878 – $78,411 plus 17% superannuation Term:  Full time, Continuing About Us The ANU College of Asia and the Pacific (CAP) leads intellectual engagement with the Asia-Pacific region through research, teaching and contributions to public debate, and seeks to set the international standard for scholarship concerning the region. The School of Culture, History and Language is the focus of research and teaching in Asian and Pacific humanities, social sciences and languages and seeks to build excellence in understanding and capability in engaging with the Asia and Pacific region. The key disciplines that are represented in the School are anthropology, archaeology, cultural studies, gender studies, history, linguistics, and languages, all contributing to the foundational knowledge of Asia and the Pacific. Effective administration and service excellence is a vital component of the School’s work in providing the highest quality education experience to its students, in supporting its academic staff, and ensuring the continuing operational excellence of the School. About the role CHL is looking for an experienced Business and Events Support Officer to join our friendly and fast-paced team. The Business and Events Support Officer will provide general organisational and administrative support, contributing to the efficient coordination of the education and event and marketing activities of the School through liaising with staff and students and providing advice and assistance on a wide range of education administration, marketing and event-management matters. The position will assist with school web development, events (including in person and online seminars, conferences, flagships and workshops), publications, multimedia content creation and media outreach.  The Business Support Officer will undertake a broad range of administrative tasks relating to education and outreach activities of the School, providing support to a variety of School stakeholders, including staff, students and visitors. They will work in partnership with School administration team members and with colleagues in the College and Central University Services. Our ideal candidate Our ideal candidate will have relevant experience in an administrative role within a complex organisation, specifically experience in student administration, events or marketing would be desirable. Proficient in MS Office and data management platforms, with experience in using design software programs such as Adobe Creative and MailChimp. We are looking for a confident go-getter with strong communication skills who can organise and prioritise multiple tasks while delivering high-quality outcomes.
