>Melbourne VIC, Brisbane QLD, Canberra ACT​​​​​​Talent acquisition leadership role Development of Indigenous talent acquisition strategy Drive and develop sustainable employment outcomesThis role is responsible for proactively building excellent relationships with hiring managers and People Business Partners to ensure a seamless, consistent and integrated approach to talent acquisition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The Talent Acquisition Business Partner (TABP) is responsible for collaborating with all business units to define their annual skill requirements, talent acquisition strategy and identifying sustainable employment pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Provision of progress updates, data analysis, supplier and vendor relationship management and governance reporting are core deliverables for this role.The role will be responsible for actively contributing to the management and implementation of talent acquisition transformation project streams, collaborating with CSIRO project teams including the Office of Indigenous Engagement, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff forum, and subject matter experts to ensure Indigenous talent business objectives and strategy are embedded within business workforce plans.Eligibility for identified positionsEligibility for identified positions is not confined to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Positions are open to all persons, however, applicants must be able to meet the essential requirements for these positions. An eligible applicant for an identified position is required to have knowledge of the culture and issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and have the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. All candidates will be required to provide a Cultural Referee as part of the application process. The cultural referee will be asked to support their application in relation to their ability to work with Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islander people. The key duties of the position include:Support the implementation and development of a new Indigenous Employment Strategy for CSIRO that aligns to the commitments of the CSIRO Reconciliation Action Plan.Consult with a range of internal project teams, business units and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff forum to review current and historical employment initiatives targeted towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.Actively contribute and participate in the CSIRO Indigenous Governance Framework to coordinate Indigenous talent acquisition requirements across CSIRO business partners. Develop and implement appropriate mechanisms to coordinate the needs and opportunities for Indigenous talent requirements. Partner with business leaders and People Business Partners to understand current and future talent needs and opportunities that can deliver sustainable employment outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.Develop and embed culturally appropriate sourcing strategies across CSIRO employment procedures and practices, including progressing the development and implementation of Affirmative Measures to enact this strategy across CSIRO.Partner with the Executive Manager, Talent Acquisition support business leaders in defining their strategic talent sourcing plan and communicate effectively in monthly, quarterly and annual yearly progress sessions. Location: Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane Salary: AU$ 113,338 to AU$132,811 pa plus up to 15.4% superannuation Tenure: Specified term of 6 months Reference: 72795EligibilityA strong demonstrated experience in developing and implementing employment strategies that have delivered sustainable employment outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.Demonstrated knowledge of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff and colleagues.Previous team management with a focus on high levels of performance, understanding and application of data to guide decision making when managing team or stakeholder decision makingKnowledge and experience in managing vendor and supplier relationships, identification of the panel service providers, efficient service delivery and cost management in line with business requirements, sourcing strategies and diversity and niche skill requirements as a TABP in a talent acquisition team, either in house or within outsourced or RPO modelsCollaborative approach to talent acquisition with specific focus on stakeholder and candidate management, communication, business requirements and budget constraints Highly organised with high level of attention to detail, ability to manage multiple streams of work Superior interpersonal skills, influencing, coaching, systems thinking, communication, negotiation and consultative skills with a broad range of stakeholders, and ability to engage with and win the respect of leaders to successfully influence on key initiatives.Demonstrated and proactive, solutions focused approach to managing individual and team contribution, with specific emphasis on alignment with CSIRO Talent guiding principles of being visible, easy to do business with, accountable, curious and collaborative Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.Must demonstrate an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.Eligibility The successful applicant will be required to obtain and provide a National Police Check or equivalent.
