Eligibility: Open to Everyone Central Adelaide Local Health Network – The Royal Adelaide HospitalTotal Indicative Remuneration OPS-5 $85,658/$91,505 Total Indicative Remuneration PO-2 $92,017/$101,728 Total Indicative Remuneration RN-2 $86,132/$108,874 Full-time temporary up to 2/5/22Please note that this position is multi-classified as either a OPS-5, PO-2 or RN-2 The Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator (SCTC) coordinates all phases of clinical trials conducted by the Royal Adelaide Hospital Cancer Clinical Trials Unit, including assuming overall responsibility for HREC , governance and the operational functions associated with trials being conducted by the unit in accordance with Good Clinical Research Practice (GCRP), NHMRC guidelines and standard operational procedures (SOPs) in conjunction with the Investigator and the Clinical Trials Manager.In this capacity the SCTC contributes operational expertise to the development, coordination and implementation of research and administrative strategies that are essential to the successful management of clinical trials research conducted by the Cancer Clinical Trials Unit. This involves the conduct of a range of independent functions, including managing the oversight, documentation and compilation of clinical research data, and providing operational support for the delivery of clinical trial submissions, reporting, and other approval requests that are required by study Ethics Committee and CALHN Research Governance Office. The SCTC may work collaboratively with researchers on specific research projects, which contributes to the advancement of scientific knowledge in the treatment of patients. The SCTC coordinates the screening procedures for study entry and subsequent randomisation/registration to the study. Duties include but are not limited to, the discussion of study logistics with participants, the coordination of participant appointments and clinical follow-up ensuring protocol compliance, the close monitoring of participants while on study, the collection of source data and test results and the input of data into participant case report forms, the collation and processing of specimens and the immediate reporting of serious adverse events. In addition to the above, the SCTC will be involved in the conduct of early phase studies and be responsible for their planning and implementation within the unit. This will involve participation in regular teleconferences with sponsors, clinical research organisations and other investigative sites.The SCTC is responsible for the training of all staff involved with their assigned trials undertaken by the Clinical Trials Unit.Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and compliant Immunisation screening.
