Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network, Governance and Performance, WhyallaIndicative Total Remuneration: $70,666 – $75,281 p.a (pro rata) – Ongoing P/T (52.5 hours per fortnight) – ASO3 The Volunteer Co-ordinator will be responsible for co-ordinating and evaluating the Volunteer Program. The aim of the program is to provide a service to patients using a variety of methods of diversional therapy in the acute care setting. The program will contribute to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of patients/clients by encouraging and stimulating creativity and participation. The Volunteer Co-ordinator is required to provide advice to the Manager Community Engagement and Executive on the implementation of strategies to maintain a sustainable volunteer service for the Whyalla Hospital & Health Services. This includes things such as:• the support in the development of services and duties provided by the volunteers• resources required to maintain services• recruitment, retention, orientation, performance management and training of volunteers The Volunteer Co-ordinator is required to provide project reports and updates to the Manager Community Engagement and Hospital Executive. The Volunteer co-ordinator is required to facilitate in liaison with Port Augusta Volunteer co-ordinator the “Service Matters- Going the extra mile program” delivery across the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network.
