Manufacturing Engineer

The Operations team partners closely with ResMed’s five business leaders to understand their needs then providing a variety of products and services to help them meet those needs including Customer and Technical Services, Global Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. Focused on enabling new product introduction and operating excellence, our team strives to improve time to market for new products and services, improve efficiencies in our cross-functional processes, and improve our supply chain through digitization and automation to increase value add to our customers.

We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in a role that offers the challenge of developing and optimising leading edge manufacturing processes in a high-volume production environment.

The Sydney Manufacturing Engineering Team partners with Operations and Product Development teams to deliver on all aspects of the manufacturing of moulded components in ResMed masks for global markets.

We identify, develop, and implement new processes, equipment, and technologies into production to produce high quality products to meet current and future volume, cost and project requirements at the highest quality.

Let’s talk about the role

Investigate, develop and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment and facilities to produce high quality products to meet current and future volume, cost and project requirements

Collaborate effectively with internal Production, Maintenance, Quality, Product Development and Planning teams in delivering engineering initiatives or provide production support where required

Represent the Moulding Engineering team on a technical level within business Cross Functional teams to ensure robust, manufacturable products

Introduce, maintain and provide training on new equipment, processes & procedures

Develop and execute on process development and validation activities

Introduce technology and lean processes to enhance operations efficiency, reduced floor space, and improve manufacturing scalability

Implement digital transformation initiatives within manufacturing to optimise processes within the factory

Engage external suppliers as appropriate Promote a safe working environment by following OH&S guidelines as well as implementing & closing out actions for the continual improvement of workplace safety.

Let’s talk about you

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronic)

Minimum of 3 years experience – knowledge of manufacturing process development, process validation and risk management are preferred

High level of communication agility required to work across organisational teams

Proven self-starter who is innovative, explorative, resourceful and has attention to detail

Quality-oriented mindset and proactive in recommending updates to processes where appropriate

Excellent communication and documentation skills, including technical reports

Experience with injection moulding and/or automation would be advantageous

Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and Data Analytics would be preferred
