The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman, Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. With 532 guest rooms, 3 restaurants, Rooftop Event Space, Executive Lounge, IRD`s and 17 meeting spaces. Located at the Brisbane Airport precinct, it is the first accommodation and meeting and event space to be developed in this precinct. 

The Brisbane Airport Conference Centre boasts 11 conference and meeting rooms, including a 300 seat pillar-less ballroom, boardrooms, business centre, cloakroom and generous breakout terraces. The centre is capable of hosting up to 600 delegates at any one time. 

The Brisbane Airport Conference Centre is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Full-time, Salaried Conference Centre Supervisor to join our dynamic and professional team. 

Your duties will include but not limited to:

  • Supervise the operations team to ensure that all food & beverage service requirements, and client conference & board room requirements, are delivered with the highest level of standard and attention to detail.
  • Ensuring impeccable attention to customer service whilst liaising with presenters and organisers before and during their event ensuring that their event requirements are met.
  • Ensures that all Function detail sheets are communicated correctly to the operational staff ensuring that all client requests have been organised.
  • Build and develop professional relationships with all clients and ensuring that conference centre facilities and services are promoted to prospective clients.
  • Ensuring all operational staff are trained to the standard as set out in the training manual.
  • Ensure that conference centre premises are maintained, presentable and clean at all times.
  • Anticipates changes and demands from presenters/organisers to ensure a seamless event.
  • Completes administrative duties in a timely manner with attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment with an attitude to lead, motivate and educate.
  • Assist in managing food & beverage, dry goods and supply stocks and ordering whilst meeting expenditure budgets.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure that food & beverage and staffing costs meet expenditure budgets.
  • Who are we looking for?

  • You will ideally have previous experience in a similar role, and are looking to work in a larger operation or a Food & Beverage Team Leader ready for their next step.
  • Previous experience within a conference & hotel environment is preferable, however not essential.
  • Flexible to work variable shifts including early starts, weekends and public holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
  • A passion and working knowledge of latest food and wine trends.
  • Hold a valid RSA – essential.
