The Clinical Trials Warehouse Operator – Dispatch role primarily is to dispatch
investigational products and accordingly will maintain warehouse product inventories to reflect those activities. Clinical Trials Warehouse Operator – Dispatch will assist with monthly, and Client requested, stock checks. The Clinical Trials Warehouse Operator – Dispatch will ensure appropriate packaging labels, product labels, packaging slips and permits are obtained for
shipments. In addition to these activities, the Clinical Trials Warehouse Operator – Dispatch will assist as required with preparation of clinical trial warehouse and distribution agreements and will represent the company during Client audits of PCI warehousing activities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in ensuring that temperature checks/reviews are undertaken and provision to customers of temperature reports and stock levels as agreed in the Warehouse and Distribution Agreements.
  • Work with the Warehouse operating team and Quality Associate to document/manage any temperature deviations
  • To perform reconciliation and destruction operations including all supporting paperwork as per company procedures.
  • To maintain/improve the appearance and cleanliness of both warehouses.
  • To complete all duties under warehouse ownership, such as ensuring cleanliness, control of pack conditioning, generator tests, consumable orders etc.
  • Conduct day to day dispatches to clinical trial sites, including preparing documents and packing of products in accordance with applicable PCI/Client requirements, notifying site of shipment and reviewing temperature reports after shipping
  • Client/Sponsor notification of dispatched shipments.
  • Liaise with Quality Assurance to ensure products and documentation is controlled and released as required to meet internal and external customers’ requirements. 
  • Aid the warehouse operating team and Quality Assurance in the safe and efficient management of all PCI products.
  • To comply with the Company’s Health and Safety standards.
  • From time to time, the above listed duties may be undertaken at PCI. In such cases the person will be responsible for ensuring they are properly trained in the local procedures and that their training record is maintained and up to date.
  • The scope of the activities undertaken at PCI is limited to projects managed or distributed from the PCI facility.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the manager. 
  • Your Skills & Experience:

  • 2 years of previous experience in warehousing and distribution, pharmaceutical industry experience desirable
  • Able to cope with the physical demands of the job
  • Excellent Organisational skills
  • Safety driven
  • Familiar with GMP requirements for warehousing and distribution
  • Hold a current driver’s licence
  • Good verbal and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • IT literate with good knowledge of ERP , excel, word and internet functionality
