Laboratory Technician – Chemistry

Job Description

Randstad are once again partnering with the South Australian state government to secure the services of a skilled Laboratory Technician for a contract with one of the state’s largest government organisations.

The position:

Based in the Chemistry division, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of value and excellence in analytical services to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and business growth. You will be supporting the promotion of a constructive, highly performing team that places its customers at the heart.

Key responsibilities:

As the Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for –

  • Performing accurate and timely analyses for all clients to ensure contractual obligations are met and a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Ensuring timely response to operational enquiries and incidents.
  • Providing results in an accurate and timely manner, including result authorisation and sample endorsement as required.
  • Participating in internal audits, NATA/BSI/Quarantine (AQIS) audits, Proficiency Testing and AQC Programs
  • Requirements of the role:

    Applicants for this unique opportunity will require the following –

  • Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in Science
  • Experience or qualifications in organic chemistry
  • Demonstrated experience in laboratory information management systems, NATA and ISO quality
    management requirements, processes and procedures
  • You will be required to undergo immunisations for this position, to ensure your safety in performing the inherent requirements of the role, including but not limited to: Covid-19, Hepatitis A/B, Q Fever and Flu (mandatory).
