Laboratory Technician – Chemistry

Randstad are once again partnering with the South Australian state government to secure the services of a skilled Laboratory Technician for a contract with one of the state’s largest government organisations.

The position:

Based in the Chemistry division, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of value and excellence in analytical services to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and business growth. You will be supporting the promotion of a constructive, highly performing team that places its customers at the heart.

Key responsibilities:

As the Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for –

Performing accurate and timely analyses for all clients to ensure contractual obligations are met and a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved.

Ensuring timely response to operational enquiries and incidents.

Providing results in an accurate and timely manner, including result authorisation and sample endorsement as required.

Participating in internal audits, NATA/BSI/Quarantine (AQIS) audits, Proficiency Testing and AQC Programs

Requirements of the role:

Applicants for this unique opportunity will require the following –

Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in Science

Experience or qualifications in organic chemistry

Demonstrated experience in laboratory information management systems, NATA and ISO quality
management requirements, processes and procedures

You will be required to undergo immunisations for this position, to ensure your safety in performing the inherent requirements of the role, including but not limited to: Covid-19, Hepatitis A/B, Q Fever and Flu (mandatory).
