Salary Range:  $, plus superannuation, pro-rata to part-time appointment

About the Role

Under the direct instruction of the Leaders of Learning Technologies and ICT and Innovation, the Design Assistant position supports the Technologies faculty and the Maker Space to deliver a diverse and creative curriculum across a range of subjects including Design and Emerging Technologies, Design and Graphics, Designed Environments, Digital and Information Technology and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics).

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrated organisational skills including the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, use initiative and operate within a team environment
  • Sound written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with O and technology software applications
  • An ability to work effectively and collaboratively with teachers and students in the classroom
  • Experience in using workshop timber equipment and STEAM equipment, or willingness to upskill
  • Basic knowledge and skill of wood working practices and design thinking methodology for STEAM projects
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of relevant Work Safety principles
  • Commitment to support the goals of Catholic education and a readiness to foster the aims and vision of the College in the wider community
