Data Scientist (remote, Freelance)

A pharmaceutical client is seeking a Data Scientist (Freelance) to support their product, sales, leadership and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing company data and guide business decisions.

This is a remote part-time opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
• Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst.
• Deep understanding of statistics, regressions, and mixed models.
• Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau or PowerBI) to create visualizations.
• Experience with Excel and Visual Basic.
• Experience working with R.
• Knowledge of R, SQL, and Python is a plus.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and applications is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
