Support Services Worker (cleaner) – Aged Care – Gold Coast

About the Role

Anglicare Southern Queensland’s South Coast (Gold Coast)  Home and Community team  offers a range of supports and assistance to a variety of local elderly clients to keep them living at home for as long as possible.

We are looking for people who can provide mainly cleaning (this is 90% of the role), and a small amount of unaccompanied shopping and meal preparation.

We have multiple  Part Time and Casual Support Worker positions  available at Anglicare.

Part time candidates will need to be available to work 3-5 days a week (preferably 5) Monday – Friday.

Casual candidates will need to be available to pick up shifts at short notice for at least 3 days a week, preferably 5, Monday – Friday.

About You

We are looking for applicants that have:

Experience in cleaning private homes will be highly regarded

A Certificate II or III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) will be highly regarded but not required

Comfortable in the use of housekeeping equipment

Able to follow domestic careplans

Clear communicator who can maintain professional boundaries with clients and their families

Demonstrated ability to be able to work independently and effectively with the elderly

Physically fit, reliable, enthusiastic and friendly

Able to use a smart phone

Fluent in English

The following will be required of successful applicants:

Queensland Driver Licence and your own, reliable vehicle

Vehicle insurance (minimum 3rd party property – not just CTP).

Online COVID-19 government training modules

A current National Police Certificate

Physical capability of meeting the requirements of the role

Tetanus and Hepatitis B shots (or willingness to obtain)

COVID-19 vaccinations (double dose)
