JobDescription:

TheCommunication Team is establishing a pool of Senior CommunicationsAdviser to join the team.

TheSenior Communications Adviser leads the delivery of communications,campaigns and services to assist the Department for Education andstate government in meeting goals and objectives.

Theposition will develop and deliver strategic communications plans,content and materials for a range of internal and externalchannels, and effectively deliver tailored communications contentand materials to a diverse range of internal and externalaudiences. The position will also proactively identifyopportunities, mitigate risk and resolve issues by workingcollaboratively with Communications Leads, subject matter experts,executives and specialist channel leads in media, social media,online and creative services.

TheSenior Communications Adviser will demonstrate a high level ofcollaboration, responsiveness, flexibility, resilience andcustomer-focused service that responds to a diverse audience andconstantly changing priorities. Working within a fast-paced andpolitically sensitive environment, the position will also need tobe adaptable and able to work across multiple projects, prioritiesand business areas autonomously, effectively and with a strongfocus on continuous improvement.

TheSenior Communications Adviser (ASO6) temporary pool will remainactive up until 31 December 2023. Recommended applicants will beeligible for upcoming temporary/term opportunities and may becontacted as they arise.

What you willbring:

-Communications planning and content development skills

– Projectmanagement experience

-Communication and marketing skills

– Printproduction and information technology knowledge

-Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, publicrelations or related discipline and/or relevant experience in theseareas (Desirable)

SpecialConditions:

Thesuccessful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to beingemployed which is required to be renewed every five years beforeexpiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN–EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect -Education Care) training course which will be required to beupdated every three years.

Remuneration:
