This opportunity

This role will create a change and communications strategy for Workplace to aid the delivery of key projects associated with TPG Telecom IT. You will be responsible for identifying IT change and communications opportunities, ensuring new technology and systems have high rates of adoption and working with project teams to supply professional and effective change and communications.

The primary responsibility of the IT Change and Communications Manager as part of a large transformation programme is to develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage of required changes. These responsibilities also include plans and efforts to anticipate and minimize resistant behaviours from employees and stakeholders who are impacted by the changes. Implementing a large cross-domain Transformation Programme necessitates change in areas of the company, it is a challenging and rewarding opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Apply agreed change management / project methodology and lead change management activities
  • Diagnose and assess the scope and impact of the change, intervention, or improvement
  • Create and implement change management plans with key stakeholders
  • Create actionable deliverables for the core change management plans such as: Sponsor Plan, People Manager Plan, Communications Plan, and Training Plan
  • Partner closely with business units, external vendors and leaders from across the organisation, to define, create and implement change plans
  • Manage risk mitigation tactics, including anticipated resistance across all stakeholders
  • Ensure operational delivery of change initiatives land smoothly and effectively across the Workplace ecosystem
  • Support the creation of material which improves the day-to-day Workplace experience
  • Support and lead; stakeholder engagement, leadership alignment, learning/training, communications, business readiness, deployment, and adoption measurement
  • Ensure benefit expectations for each change initiative are realised
  • Consult and coach IT project teams
  • Leading a team of dedicated change agents to drive adoption across the company
  • Knowledge and experience

  • Understanding and proven application of change management methods and principles
  • Certification in a change management discipline – desirable
  • Experience in large Transformation Programmes
  • Experience with project management approaches, tools and project lifecycle
  • Experience in applying the required disciplines to design and lead people and organization transformational change programs
  • Experience in large Transformation programmes and multi-year change initiatives to support a transformation and implementation
  • Experience in change management methodology, process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes in a corporate environment
  • Proven application in embedding strategies that require culture change
  • Skills and experience in continuous improvement models and framework
  • Strong commercial understanding and business acumen
  • Extremely strong stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to ‘manage up’
  • Acute understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Ability to deliver multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
