Deliverables:

  • Develop and manage relevant stakeholder relationships through ongoing communication (both structured and informal) to identify opportunities for the business to effectively participate in host communities.
  • Develop and implement strategies that: map key stakeholders; identify community development needs and priorities; define acceptance drivers; and include a program of planned and purposeful engagement.
  • Anticipate and plan for emerging issues and act to manage / remedy any social licence risk exposures.
  • Support and advise internal stakeholders on emerging issues as they relate to stakeholder interests.
  • Develop and implement strategic community investment initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to make the business more transparent within host communities and support community acceptance of new operations.
  • Represent assets as the subject matter expert on social performance and community engagement.

Your skills and experience

  • Ten years of experience in public affairs, communication or community engagement roles.
  • Exceptional writing skills with a demonstrated ability to write for different audiences and media.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in developing and implementing external communication and stakeholder engagement plans, including media relations, issue management and community relations.
  • Excellent conceptual and analytical skills, with a proven ability to understand a wide range of topics, identify issues and provide appropriate communication and engagement solutions

Successful candidate MUST be an Australian OR NZ Citizen OR have Permanent Residency status
