Who are we looking for?

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a School Executive Assistant to join School of Law, Faculty of Business and Law, Academic Division.

The Executive Assistant provides executive support to the Head of School, including high level administration support, communication, planning and advice. The position works collaboratively with key stakeholders and other staff to deliver exceptional service and support.

What you need to succeed

As a strong communicator, you will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and communicate the shared QUT Values in your approach to work.

You will demonstrate:

  1. Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of an associate diploma and at least two (2) years’ subsequent relevant work experience.
  2. Demonstrated strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time and tasks effectively, including prioritising work, meeting deadlines and balancing competing demands effectively with limited supervision.
  3. High level interpersonal skills with the ability to provide confidential executive support with proven ability to collaborate and communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.
  4. Demonstrated digital literacy skills including ability to effectively work with Microsoft suite of products as well as corporate systems and other information sources to extract and interpret data.
  5. Demonstrated high level written communication skills, including the ability to draft and edit documents, email correspondence and committee meeting papers with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  6. Ability to use initiative to solve problems, with demonstrated agility and flexibility in response to changing

Term:  Fixed-term, part-time basis (21.75 hours per week) until 31 December 2023.

Remuneration:  $86,083 to $97,094 (full-time equivalent) pa. Which is inclusive of an annual salary range of $72,741 to $82,045 (full-time equivalent) pa, 17% superannuation, and leave loading.
