We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive Administration Assistant to provide efficient clerical and administration support to Ulverstone Corps.

About the role

We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive Administration Assistant to provide efficient clerical and administration support to Ulverstone Corps in order to enhance outcomes and to support the achievement of the TSA mission. ​

You will successfully

  • Perform administrational and personal assistant duties, taking responsibility for the general function of the Church office as directed by the Corps Officer/s
  • Maintain Volunteer management administration and compliance including Workday (HR Database) ensuring appropriate integrity checks are performed, and all volunteer training records are up to date
  • Provide accurate information on our services and programs, and triage/refer enquiries to other TSA services/programs
  • Manage agendas, meeting minutes, correspondence, monthly newsletters, attend to mail/emails and correspondence, photocopying, filing, answering telephones
  • Oversee the hiring of the Church facilities ensuring all insurance policies, hire agreements etc are in order
  • Complete finance/accounts tasks as required by the Corps Officer eg receipting donations, banking, reconciliations, purchasing, EOFY checks
  • This is a permanent part-time position, 15.2 hours a week located in Ulverstone, TAS. Weekly roster is flexible and will be negotiated. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Clerks Level 3 Service award.

    You will have

  • Cert III in Business administration or relevant experience
  • Experience in customer service and administrational roles highly desirable
  • High level competency in the use of software application packages including word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheets, databases, communications and record management
  • General accounting/bookkeeping knowledge and experience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Prior experience with Workday or HRIS systems, Intranet, and IT systems highly desirable
  • Organised and strong written communication skills
  • A Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
