ABOUT US

The Salvation Army is one of Australia’s largest and most-loved charities, helping thousands of Australians every year find hope in the midst of all kinds of personal hardship. The Salvation Army offers the opportunity to use your skills and expertise to make a real difference in the lives of people who need help most.

Can you help us feed our local community. The Gosnells Corps is currently looking at resuming our Community Lunch – providing meals, support and companionship for those in need of a feed and some connection. We are looking for a motivated volunteer who would be keen to work alongside our Corps Officer to coordinate a team of volunteers, assist with food preparation and service. You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills as well as experience working alongside other people in a catering environment. You will be keen to make a little go a long way and use your creativity to pull together tasty and nutritious food from donated ingredients. You will love motivating a team and providing clear instructions whilst encouraging a fun and welcoming environment.

The Community Lunch will require commitment each fortnight commencing in March and need you to be available to coordinate setup and packing away. We will be encouraging corporate groups to assist (be the hands) and possibly student groups so you’ll also require a WWCC and current Police Clearance (which we can help you get at no cost to you)
