It Project Manager – 12 Month Ftc

With exciting projects across MECCA, we have an opportunity for a talented IT Project Manager to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The Role You Could Play

As the IT Project Manager, you will interface between the IT, Digital and external suppliers to ensure projects are delivered effectively and ensure that a true partnership is built. Your primary focus will be delivering the technical workstream to enable the transformation of our loyalty program. Working closely with our Retail Operations, People & Education team and Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role managing the delivery of all technology requirements internally while supporting our external implementation partner. 

You will be responsible for working within the project methodology, building and tracking to project plan for the technical workstream, including resource and budget forecasts, as well as leading a team of analysts, architects, system SMEs and testers.

Day-to-day you will be involved in:

Developing and tracking a technical project team to deliver against defined milestones.

Reporting on workstream status, risks and issues, financials and overall health.

Setting and continually manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders

Estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals

Plan and schedule workstream timelines and milestones using

Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path

Contributing to progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations

Innovation is a critical focus for MECCA and our Technical Team is playing a lead role in driving the innovation strategy and building a culture of collaboration and innovation business wide.

What You Will Bring

You will be experienced delivering technical projects, sometimes multiple concurrently, within a similar environment, ideally with a focus on retail, and will have worked across the entire project lifecycle from initiation to handover to operations / application support.

You will need to be technically proficient, with a solid ability to lead a project team and track the status health of your deliverables, communicating these effectively.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

Understanding of Project Management methodologies and SDLC methodologies

Experience of Agile and Waterfall

A strong knowledge of best practice, with a focus on continual improvement

Ability to manage and present to multiple stakeholders, both technical and non-technical

Experience facilitating the building of business requirements

Previous project experience with UKG Dimensions Workforce Management – highly desirable

This role will suite someone with strong problem solving and abstract reasoning skills, with a great attention to detail, organizational and planning skills with ability to multitask effectively, manage timelines and meet deadlines. You will need to have the ability and flexibility to succeed in an entrepreneurial, fast paced, and complex environment.
