Job Description

The Opportunity:

We are establishing an open pool of Assistant State Land Officers and State Land Officers to join the Land Use Management division. These positions are entry level in the Land Use Management division, which is responsible for administering and managing Western Australia’s Crown land estate and Aboriginal lands held by the Aboriginal Lands Trust. 

The  Assistant State Land Officer  provides administrative support whilst working within a collaborative environment to facilitate efficient and effective delivery of projects and outcomes. 

The  State Land Officer  supports and facilitates the delivery of the land use management projects and outcomes through undertaking research and investigation, stakeholder liaison and preparation of relevant documentation.

To be successful in the Assistant State Land Officer role, you need to demonstrate;

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to meet changing and multiple deadlines in a team environment; and
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

    Special Requirements for this position:

    The Department will conduct National Police Clearances for applicants successful to this recruitment process.

    To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector it is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
