The main objective is to plan, execute, and provide support for essential services, which will be accessible at numerous locations throughout Australia.

The Position

We are looking for an experienced Human Resource Business Partner to join our team at Thales Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a people strategy to support the achievement of our business objectives, while also leading significant people-focused change initiatives.

Key responsibilities;

  • Collaborating with the leadership team and Thales HR community to ensure understanding and support for HR strategies and initiatives
  • Leading a process of organizational planning and design to evaluate structure, job design, and workforce forecasting to enable clear definition of work, boundaries, relationships and delivery of requirements (people and skills)
  • Consolidating an effective succession planning (Talent Review) process to future-proof the business and support employee career development and mobility
  • Managing the deployment of the Leadership Model and diversity and inclusion actions, in the frame of the transformation plan
  • Defining the strategic direction of the department and directing agreed strategies for the achievement of short and long-term business/policy objectives, and increased profit and market share.
  • About You

  • Extensive experience in contemporary human resource management techniques and practices
  • Highly developed negotiation, mediation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with people at all levels, internally and externally
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the application of HR Information Systems
  • Deep understanding of employment relations and enterprise negotiation
  • Extensive knowledge of change management principles and practices
  • Significant HR Generalist experience covering a broad range of HR area/organizational policies and procedures.
