About the role

WesTrac is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to join our Sydney Field Service team.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Marine/Industrial Field Service Supervisor is accountable for the ownership of the customer experience by providing the complete customer care experience related to WesTrac service, repair and general service provision queries.

As the point of contact between the customer and the technician team you will be responsible for the effective and efficient coordination of all matters relating to the customer including, supporting and leading the team to deliver timely service to customers ensuring WesTrac and Caterpillar Quality standards are met, scope, scheduling, pricing and invoicing of work required ensuring the customers repair and service needs are achieved while meeting agreed timeframes and budget.

This full-time permanent position is based at our Casula branch working 10 hour days, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and developing new customer contacts
  • Scheduling and allocating work orders for the Field Service team
  • Roster management, review and approval of timesheets
  • Providing leadership to a small team of specialists focusing on marine and industrial applications
  • Effectively planning labour to ensure productivity targets are achieved
  • Promoting a continuous improvement approach to all areas of responsibility
  • Provide technical support for the Field Service team
  • Ensuring a safe work environment is maintained at all time
  • Skills & Experience – Essential

  • Trade certified mechanic/electrician with significant post trade experience with Caterpillar Marine products
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads
  • Ability to remain calm under the pressure of deadlines and conflicting priorities
  • Collaborative approach to managing needs of internal vs external stakeholders
  • Desirable

  • Leadership/management training or formal qualification
  • Previous experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Familiarity with SAP and or/ exposure to SIS
  • Intermediate computer skills; on the job training will be provided on WesTrac systems
