Portfolio Manager: Office Of The Provost And Chief Academic Officer (heo 9)

About the Role

 

Reporting directly to the Provost and Chief Academic Officer, you will develop and implement plans, policies and strategies aimed at improving the University’s teaching and learning. You will play a significant role in generating high level policy advice and developing and maintaining strong networks. You will ensure the systematic management, coordination and organisation of business of the Office of the Provost and Chief Academic Officer.

Core Responsibilities 

Assist in the resolution of operational issues relating to portfolio units

Support the management of systematic reviews of portfolio areas and activities

Manage contributions to key communications with State and Commonwealth departments on matters relating to accreditation and quality of academic processes and academic programs

Manage projects on behalf of the Provost and Chief Academic Officer

Provide high level research, analysis advice and recommendations on a broad range of issues and policies

Essential Skills and Experience 

Post graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline

Extensive relevant experience

Highly developed oral communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

Proven ability to plan at both strategic and operations level

Ability to lead continuous improvement of corporate administrative processes, policies and systems

Demonstrated experience in human resource management

Sound financial management skills including experience developing and managing budgets
