Location:  Manuka, Canberra 
Employment Type:  Part-time (first contract term 3 years), hours per fortnight
Salary Range:  Grade 3/4 ($, – $, + Superannuation)
Start Date:  March 3

Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn plays an integral role in education both in the ACT and NSW operating Schools and 8 Early Learning Centres.

About the Role

The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) collects data about school students with disability across Australia in a consistent, reliable and systematic way. In practice, such students receive reasonable adjustments from the school so that they are able to participate in education on the same basis as their peers, as required by the Disability Discrimination Act 2 and Disability Standards for Education.

The position of NCCD Administration Officer, provides support to the NCCD Manager and the NCCD team. The support plays a pivotal role in the continued funding for students with a Disability throughout for Catholic Education Archdiocese of Canberra Goulburn, through the collection and analysis of NCCD data. In addition, the position of NCCD Administration Officer will provide wider operational and administrational support for the NCCD Team.

About You

You will have a current knowledge of the operation of schools, with an interest in students with disability. Experience working within a school environment is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and facilitation skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the legislation surrounding education for students with a disability. 
  • Experience working within a school environment is an advantage. 
  • Proficient in the use of Power BI to create interactive data, ideal for presentation and analysis
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skillset in the use of Microsoft Excel, including advanced Excel functions to summarise and analyse large amounts of data correctly.
