This role will see you working within our Public Sector Security Team (PSST) to support project teams across our Australian Federal Government engagements by ensuring staff compliance with the customer’s onboarding, offboarding and other security administrative processes. You will work closely with, amongst others, the customer, your peers within the PSST, Account Managers, Project Managers, Contract Managers, PMO staff to ensure processes are fit-for-purpose, report on the progress of security tasks, and communicate security expectations.

This role would ideally suit a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast paced administrative environment and across multiple teams to achieve results and contribute to customer satisfaction. While previous experience in a similar administrative role is preferred, training / mentoring will be provided. Delivering on DXC’s VirtualFirst initiative, reasonable flexible and remote work arrangements are available and can be discussed further at interview.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Timely processing and management of security administrative tasks in accordance with established standard operating procedures
  • Responding to requests from, and providing information to, internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitoring the PSST inbox and reply to non-complex security queries
  • Participate in project meetings to contribute to resource management discussions and report on security administrative tasks
  • Maintain accurate records in relevant internal security database/s, and archiving documentations in relevant information management systems
  • Handling personal information in strict confidence and in accordance with legislation
  • Identify opportunities to enhance internal security processes to maintain positive user experiences
  • Contribute to establishing/updating standard operating procedures
  • Support the PSST’s security assurance activities
  • Other reasonable administrative tasks as directed by the Chief Security Officer – Public Sector Industry from time to time
  • Key requirements:

    Critical to your success, you will be an effective team player and leverage your:

  • strong customers service skills
  • excellent time management to process a diverse workload in a fast paced environment
  • awareness and practical implication of relevant information handling legislation (e.g. Privacy Act)
  • proficiency using a range of computer software, such as Microsoft O365 Suite (Word/Outlook/Excel) and SharePoint
  • advanced verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate security requirements and champion security, and
  • ability to establish and maintain effective and trusted working relationships both internally and externally
  • Additional specific job requirements / qualifications:

  • You must be an Australian Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance, and satisfactorily pass DXC’s pre-engagement integrity checks
  • Previous and/or current employment in a similar security administrative role (desirable)
  • Ideally it is desirable for the candidate to have previous experience in a task-orientated role
