    Cherry Creek is a new state-of-the-art Youth Justice Precinct opening mid 2023. The facility will offer innovative services aimed at reducing reoffending and giving young people the skills to make the most of their lives when they return to the community.

    As a key contributor to the high performing Youth Justice Recruitment team, you will assume a pivotal role in talent delivery across this workforce. You will attract, assess, select and onboard critical front line talent at the Cherry Creek and other Youth Justice facilities. You will partner with hiring managers to determine position requirements and in collaboration with the team deliver innovative recruitment strategies to attract and place talent across this workforce.

    You are an expert recruitment practitioner with demonstrated knowledge and experience leading high volume recruitment and selection methodology. Within your career, you would have gathered and used evidence-based data to make recommendations that provide value to your stakeholders through innovative approaches to recruitment practice. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities is imperative.

    Working in a team of talent management professionals, this is a rare opportunity for a volume recruiter to make a first time move to an in-house recruitment service or an experienced internal to develop assessment strategies and tools.     The department is committed to providing and maintaining a working environment which is safe and without risk to the health of its employees consistent with the department’s obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (Vic). Therefore, there is a requirement that all DJCS employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to undertake duties outside of their homes.

    At interview stage and prior to commencement of employment with the department, you will need to provide evidence that you are vaccinated against COVID-19 with three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. 

    Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal. This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).

    Acceptable evidence includes:

  • COVID-19 digital certificate (available via your myGov account)
  • Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)
  • Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
